STOREY, Jane

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 16, 2003 Jane Hume Storey, known to her family as Mother, Mom, Grammy and Gigi, left us on Sunday, February 9, 2003. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 7, 1916. She was the widow of Paul K. Hume and Alfred C. Storey. She was the mother of Fran Bloemker (Fritz) and Joe Hume (Sandy), of Phoenix, Arizona; John Hume (Rhodie) of Alexandria, Virginia; and the late Mary Margaret Daly (Bill) of Naperville, Illinois. She had 10 grand-children and 10 great grandchildren comprised of the Czerwinski, Graham and Click families of Phoenix, the Hume family of Alexandria, Virginia, and the Daly families of Naperville, Illinois and Orlando, Florida. Losing her has left a tremendous void in our hearts and lives, but we are joyful for her because she is finally reunited with the loved ones she missed so desperately. We will be forever grateful for her never-ending love, caring and constant pride in her family. As the daughter of a fire chief in Saginaw, Michigan and the grandmother of a police sergeant in Chandler, Arizona, a memorial in her name may be sent to The Phoenix 100 Club which supports the families of police and firemen injured or killed in the line of duty.
