SWING, Daniel Leroy

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 16, 2003 Daniel Leroy Swing, born December 7, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2003 at the age of 67. He was preceded in the death by his mother, Marion Easter, father, Clyde Swing and daughter Dorothy Swing. Daniel is survived by his wife, Edith G. Swing; sisters, Jean Baublitz and Fay Jones; 3 sons, Eddie, Rowland and Daniel Jr.; 2 daughters Angela Lara and Tammy Swing; and 8 grandchildren. Daniel faithfully served his country for 22 years as a decorated Airman in the United States Air Force. His tours included Okinawa, England, and Vietnam. His bravery in Vietnam earned him award of the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
