Courtesy of Pat Wilson. -------------------------------- The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 24, 2003 Benjamin Gregory, 85, Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on January 20th 2003. Born in Newark, New Jersey. Ben was a landscape architect and owned and operated a pest control business for 38 years. Ben was a man of many interests, including photography, astronomy, table tennis, theatre and dance. He retired with his wife Annie to Sun City West in 1986, where he joined the Rhythm Tappers, Sun City West Racquet Club and Sun City West Ballroom Dance Club. Ben was well known for his volunteer performances as a singer and musician at Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital. Ben was a past president and life member of the Elks Club. His wife Anne, and daughters, Dusty Bowenkamp of Sun City West, Dianna Smith of Croton-On-Hudson, New York, Anne Marie Roberts of Knoxville, Tenn., a son Richard, of Westford, Mass., sisters Gloria and Lillian, survive Ben. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 25th at 10:00 a.m at Camino Del Sol Chapel, Sun City West, Az.
