SANDOVAL, Lucy

Copper Basin News Kearny, Az. Lucy S. Sandoval, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Dudleyville on Dec. 13, 2009. She was born in Florence on March 4, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Jose Manuel Vega, and her brother, Jose. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank R. Sandoval; her children, Rosa (David) Navarro, Rita (Daniel) Duarte, Frank (Myrna) Sandoval, Robert (Luz) Sandoval, Felix, Veronica (Herman) Fry; her sisters, Enedina Cruz and Lorenia Cabral; her brothers, Leonardo Lopez, Melquides Esparza, and Arturo Vega. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one more on its way, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Lucy will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, tia, comadre, and friend to many. Her family and friends will miss her, greatly! Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayden, with Father Dale Branson celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. The family was assisted by Griffith Mortuary.
