Janet Reed, 70, died Monday morning, January 13, 2003 at Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was born in Muncie, the daughter of Leonard and Lena Miller Tulley, and graduated from Albany High School in 1950.
She was a secretary her entire life working for Ball State University, and Mutual Federal Savings before moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1978. She worked for the State of Arizona for a few years before retiring in 1998, and returned to Albany in 2000.
Mrs. Reed was a member of Albany United Methodist Church, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority.
Surviving are two nieces; three nephews; a brother-in-law, Harold Reed (wife-Barbara), Albany; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Campbell, N.C., Helen Gray (husband-Larry), Dunkirk; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1996, her parents, and a sister, Norma Dunn.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Albany United Methodist Church with Rev. Neil Butcher officiating.
There will be no calling hours. Cremation has been held and burial of ashes will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
