The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 18, 2003 Ruth V. Dodd, age 82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on February 16, 2003. She was born on July 29, 1920 in Chicago, IL. to Henry and Anna Van Alsburg, Sr. Ruth graduated from Eureka College and was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. Before her retirement in 1983, Ruth was a clerk for the Federal Government in Phoenix. She is survived by her children Darrell (Linda) Dodd and Cynthia (Dave) Bancroft; her brothers Earl and Henry, Jr. VanAlsburg, her 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchild. Visitation will be one hour prior to Funeral Service at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ.
