Betty Jean Payne, age 76, passed away on Dec. 11, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Aug. 28, 1933, in Crows Landing, Calif., to Orin and Mae Cotter.
Betty graduated from Medford High School in Medford, Ore., and worked in the welding supply business as a salesperson for over 30 years. She moved to Prescott in 1954 and was a well-respected member of the Prescott/Chino Valley communities. She also enjoyed handcrafts, gardening and reading.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Cathy Fearno and Mindie Payne; son Mark (Marla) Payne; grandchildren Josh Fearno, Nathan Fearno, Zeb Scoble, Colby Payne, Brandon Payne, Andrew Scoble, Tim Payne and Matt Scoble; eight great-grandchildren; and Harold Payne.
