The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Friday, November 27, 2009 Dominic B. Barnes, Sr., 56, of Cottonwood died November 20. He was born June 6, 1953 in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Kenneth G. and Nancy (Suarato) Barnes. He was a graduate of Meridian, Connecticut schools and Wilcox Technical High School, Mr. Barnes was employed by Sacred Expeditions. He was a wealth of knowledge on Native American life and lore. He also managed and groomed horses and was a history buff. He leaves two sons, Dominic B. Barnes II and Michael Barnes of Wallingford, Conn.; a daughter Theresa Rodriguez (Carlos) of Wallingford, Conn. and good friend Deborah White McLaughlin of Cottonwood. Memorial services will be held at the Old Indian Burial Ground, off Rocking Chair Rd., ΒΌ mile past Hilltop Dentists on right Sunday, Nov. 29, 1:30 p.m. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com.
