BERNAL, Martiana

Martiana Bernal, 88, of Superior died July 1 [2003] at Copper Mountain Inn in Globe. She was born in Gila, N.M., and had lived in Arizona 53 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and Senior Citizens of Superior. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Candy and Alfred Rocha of Globe, Cathy and Leroy Valdez of New Mexico, Flora and Manuel Rameriz and Frances Castillo of California; one brother, Genaro Tapia of Central, N.M.; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-granchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 7 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami. Interment was in Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were under the direction of Miles Funeral Services.
