Steven Poulter
Steven Poulter Scoville, 48, of Scottsdale, our beloved husband, father, brother, and son, passed away peacefully July 1, 2002 after a long illness.
He was a loving, kind, gentle, generous man with a delightful sense of humor. He was very much loved and will be terribly missed by all who knew him. He served an honorable LDS mission in the Netherlands. He also served in various other callings in the LDS church. He graduated from the University of Utah in mechanical engineering. He loved to fly and received his wings as a teenager. Subsequently, he earned a commercial pilot license. He was employed by the aerospace industry until his illness. He loved music and encouraged and supported his children in the development of their talents.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Flandro Scoville, daughters Brittany, Stephanie, Michelle, Lauren, and son Steven Jr. His parents Richard and Ruth Scoville, brothers Richard (Barbara), David (Shirley), sisters Shirleen (Lee) Jonas, Kathleen (Jaret) Kranz, Kristine (Douglas) Henricksen, and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services Saturday, July 6th, 2002, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 9565 E Larkspur Dr., Scottsdale. Graveside services Monday, July 8th at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Central Arizona Homeless Shelter Services, 1209 W. Madison St., Phx, AZ 85007 and the LDS Missionary Fund, c/o Bishop Chris Utterback, 11960 N. 107th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85259. Newcomer Family Mortuary of Scottsdale is assisting the family.
