SPUCCES,
Kristin
Kristin Spucces passed to a new life Monday, July 1, 2002, at her home.
Kristin was a lifelong educator who genuinely loved people of all kinds. Her almost 40 years in education took her from the Philippines, while her husband Vincent was stationed there, through nearly 20 years as a teacher at St. Jerome's School, to her final home as principal at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School for 12 years.
Recently the St. Francis Xavier Parents' Association funded a scholarship in her name to recognize students who exemplify what Kristin stood for: the pleasure of working, the value of time, the rewards of perseverance, the worth of character, the commitment to duty, the power of kindness, the dignity of simplicity, the virtue of patience, and the joy of living.
She will truly be missed by her St. Francis Xavier and St. Jerome faith communities, and especially by her parents Fred and Jeanne of Minneapolis; brothers Tom, Peter, Jon, Paul, Mark, Joe and Christopher, and by her husband, Vincent, children Adrian, Kim, Shelley, Vinnie, and daughter-in-law Amy, and her grandchildren Aaron & Graham.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Xavier School, specifically noting the Kristin Spucces school fund. Services Saturday, July 6, 2002, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 4715 N. Central Ave. A reception will follow at the St. Francis school auditorium.
