The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 23, 2003 Pattie Rice, age 47, of Glendale, passed away on January 20, 2003 with her family by her side. She was born on December 11, 1955 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pattie is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, John T. Rice, II. She was a Super Mom to Ashley, Sean and Jerron Rice; loving daughter of Edith Gurley; dear sister of Cheryl Markham, Maggie Devlyn and Michelle Butler. She is preceded in death by her loving son John T. Rice, III and her loving father John W. Gurley. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2003 at Unity Church, 1500 E. Greenway Parkway, Phoenix, Az. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peoria Unified School District, Art Masterpiece Program, 6330 West Thunderbird Rd. Glendale, Az., 85306.
