LORENZI, Jennifer Ann

(Maiden Name: Earls)

Jennifer Ann Lorenzi, 37, born October 21, 1964, in Eugene, OR, and died June 26, 2002 in Scottsdale, AZ. Jennifer's joie de vie, enthusiasm for life, and love of people were seen at a young age in her energetic involvement in swimming, soccer, crew, golf, running, and almost any new adventure - horseback riding at the Oregon Coast, and hiking. Jennifer's enjoyment of people and her devotion to her family and friends was truly astounding and a joy to experience. Upon learning of her sudden death, friend's comments included "Jennifer was a true friend - no one could ever have a truer friend." Jennifer's insatiable curiosity and intelligence resulted in her biking across Northern Africa and Europe at the age of 16 with a small group from her high school. This trip required speaking only French for three months. When the official trip ended and her peers were returning home, a Corsican family who had met Jennifer invited her to stay for several weeks longer - a compliment to her obvious love of people, life, and the French culture. After graduating from The Bush School in Seattle, Jennifer attended Santa Clara University majoring in French and International Studies. At graduation she was recruited by Chubb Insurance and worked for Chubb for 16 years until the time of her death. Her colleagues repeatedly commented on Jennifer's intelligence, wisdom, work ethic, professionalism, loyalty, and discipline while also admiring her thoughtfulness, quick wit and humor, and her ability to keep a sense of perspective. Jennifer was known for her nurturing personality by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Jennifer's profound love and devotion to her husband Joseph and 11 month old son, Lucca, was seen every day through her obvious delight in sharing life with them. In addition to the prior mentioned activities, Jennifer was admired for her broad range of interests that included a constitution of the daily crossword puzzle, love of baking that included her famous unique chocolate chip cookies, her enjoyment of gardening and flowers, and her love of animals. She was also admired for years of remarkably regular blood donations to local blood centers. Jennifer will be missed and her spirit will be kept alive especially by her husband Joseph, son Lucca, parents Gerald and Mary Anne Earls, brothers Jason and Stephen, sisters-in-law Sara Earls and Debbie Profant, grandmother Mary Earls, father-in-law E.J. "Almo" Lorenzi and all the Earls, Lorenzi, and Scherer aunts, uncles and cousins. A local Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday, July 9th, 2002, at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Chapel, 8555 E.
