Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, January 23, 1948 FRANK MACIAS, BORN HERE IN 1883, PASSES SUMMONED AT RANCH WHERE HE WAS BORN Frank C. Macias, a life-long resident of this cummunity where he was highly regarded and enjoyed the friendship and respect of his fellow citizens, passed away at his 6M ranch a short distance southeast of the city, at 11 a. m. last Friday morning, January 16. He was born on the same ranch in 1883. Mr Macias had been in poor health for a long time and was practically bed-ridden for the past two years. He had devoted all of his adult life to ranching and raising cattle on his ranch along the Hassayampa river. His father, the late Raymond Macias, was also born in this community. He passed away in 1907. FATHER OF FIVE Surviving Mr Macias are the widow, Mrs Auroura Macias and five children, all of whom live here. They are Mrs Carmen Gilbert, Mrs Carolina Hershkowitz, Minnie, Frank and Raymond Macias. Three sisters, all living in California, also survive. They are Mrs Mercedes Grigalana, Mrs Ygnacia Telles and Rita Macias. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by Fr. D. F. O'Sullivan of St. Anthony's Catholic church and burial followed in the Garcia cemetery.
