VALENZUELA, Ruben C.


Ruben C. Valenzuela, 73, of Glendale, born July 26, 1928 went home to be with our Lord July 3, 2002, with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Lucy M. Valenzuela; daughters Frances V. (Frank) Enriquez, Irene V. (Julian) Quesada, Ruby V. (Gary) Huerta and Stella V. (Rudy) Martinez; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Benny, Efrain, Moses and Sammy; sisters Esther Williams, Lily Elias and Rosemary Badilla. He served his country honorably as a military police in the US Army. He worked for Arizona Public Service for 36 years and Southwest Gas for 5 years, retiring in 1989. Ruben was a loyal Diamondback Fan. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved and supported all his family and will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives he touched and by everyone who loved him. He was truly a blessing to all of us and will never be forgotten. (Philippians 1:21, For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain). Visitation on July 7, 2002, with prayer service at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale.
