BLANK, Helen Louise

Helen Louise McNaught Blank, age 97, passed away July 5, 2002 in Winslow, AZ. She was born December 10, 1904 in Janesville, Wisconsin to Helen Louise McGregor Prichard and John Hawley McNaught. She grew up in the beautiful Rock River valley and holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where her fields of study were Botany and the Classical Humanities. She has lived in the Southwest for many years, first in Bryan-College Station, Texas, then Las Cruces, New Mexico and finally Tempe, Phoenix and in Sept. 1999 to Holbrook, Arizona. She is a member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi, the Maricopa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the North Phoenix Republican Women's Club, St. George's Episcopal Church in Holbrook and formerly a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Marion Blank and a daughter, Christina Marian Blank Glass Woll. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth and husband Vincent Budenholzer of Holbrook and her son, Richard and his wife, Elsie Blank of Merced, CA; her granddaughter, Susan Glass Stewart and husband Jim Stewart of Phoenix and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at St. George's Episcopal Church in Holbrook and inurnment will follow in the Close at All Saints Episcopal Church in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. George's Episcopal Church, Holbrook, Arizona. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled arrangments. The Arizona Republic July 08, 2002
