ANDREWS, Joseph John

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 19, 2003 Joseph John Andrews, 82, of Tempe passed away Feb. 16 in Tempe. Devoted husband of Julia (Judy), his wife of 60 years; beloved father of Robert Joseph (deceased), Mary, and Marcia (Curcija); loving grandfather of Nickolas and Katie; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Born in Tilon, IL.; served in WWII, and graduated Purdue University in 1949. His professional career included mechanical engineering positions with Acme Steel Co. and Argon National Laboratories in Chicago, and with Motorola Corp. in Tempe. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 5-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Carr Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd., Tempe. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to the Monsignor McCready Scholarship Fund of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, 2121 S. Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282.
