The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 24, 2003 Elena Romo McCoy, 48, passed away on January 9, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona at the Barrows Neurological Institute. She was born on June 25, 1954 on the Colorado River Indian Reservation in Parker, Arizona to Manuel and Ritha Romo. Elena lived and worked in Mesa, Az., as a beautician. She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Romo Sr. of Parker, Arizona and a brother, Steven Romo of Mesa, Arizona. She is survived by her husband Danny McCoy of Mesa, Az.; sons, Marco Pintor and Joseph Stiefel of Casa Grande, Az.; grandsons, Christian and Isaac Marc Pintor of Casa Grande, Az.; daughter, Emiko Reyna of Mesa, Az.; mother, Ritha Savilla Romo of Fort Yuma Reservation, Fort Yuma, Ca.; brothers, Raphael Romo of Fort McDowell, Scottsdale, Az. and Manuel Romo, Jr. of Phoenix, Az. and sister, Clarice Romo Hatch of Yuma, Arizona. Rosary: 7 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2003 at Sacred Heart Church, Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2003 at Sacred Heart Church followed by burial at Parker Cemetery.
