RAY, Jonathan Lynn


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 24, 2003 Jonathan Lynn Ray, 14, passed away on January 21, 2003 from injuries sustained in a motor cross accident on January 20, 2003. Jon was born April 28, 1988 in Mesa, Arizona. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had advanced to the rank of life in the Boy Scouts of America. Jon was a freshman at Smith Jr. High and a member of the tennis team. He enjoyed golf, baseball, and motorcross riding. He loved being outdoors. He is survived by his parents Ida Lee Hollingshead Ray and Lynn Edwin Ray, along with his six brothers and sisters: Amanda, Pavel, Oksana, Ksenia, Brian, and James; grandparents: Joan and Glen Ray, Eloyce Hollingshead and Leo Hollingshead; seventeen aunts and uncles and thirty-six cousins. He was preceded in death by uncle Scott and cousin Tony. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 24, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Desert View Chapel, 9702 E. Apache Trail in Mesa, Arizona. Funeral Services are on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1720 S.
