James Howard Richey, 82, of Phoenix, Arizona, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.
The Allen County, Kentucky native was a retired realty escrow officer and a World War II Army Veteran. He was a son of the late Lowell B. Richey and Blanche Whitney Richey and husband of the late Charlotte Marie Thompson Richey.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Valead Richey, Phoenix, Az.; one daughter, Beverly Cowles, Marshall, Mo.; stepson, David Valead and stepdaughter, Sarah K. Nelson, both of Phoenix, Az.; two sisters, Ruth Trevelle Witt, Scottsville, Ky. and Margaret Janice Casada, Woodburn, Ky.; five grandchildren, Mary Marie Brummet, Quantico, a.; Diana Rae, James Roy Cowles and Christopher Cowles, all of Sedalia, Mo.; and Kathleen Taylor, La Mont, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Ronnie Allen Vincent, Brandon Ulmer, Joshua Brummet, Brooklyn Hunnell, Allison Harvey and Shani Taylor.
Funeral Services for James Howard Richey will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry O'Neal officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home, in Scottsville, Ky.
