The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 19, 2003 Catherine R. Smith, 77, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2003. Kay, a homemaker, was born April 27, 1925 in Chicago but lived in the valley for 33 years. Kay's family and friends meant everything to her. Her smile, laugh and nurturing will truly be missed. Kay, beloved wife of over 48 years to husband Bob, loving mother of their children, Marilyn, Bob and Steve; dear grandmother of Tom and Riley. Services to be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1810 E. Libra Dr, (Guadalupe and AMcClintock), Tempe on Thursday, February 20 at 1pm. Arrangements entrusted to Valley of the Sun Mortuary.
