Phyllis Brasch, 84, of Casa Grande died Jan. 21, 2003 at Desert Samaritan Medical Center in Mesa.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande with the Rev. Rick Lemberg officiating.
Mrs. Brasch was born Feb. 19, 1918 near Mead, Neb., to Merle (Willey) and Ernest Fuchser. She attended Nebraska Weslyan University and remained active in the Phi Mu sorority all of her life.
She married Martin Brasch, June 27, 1940 and they moved to Casa Grande from Mount Prospect, Ill., in 1978 when he retired.
She loved music, was active in the Sweet Adelines and was a past president of the Casa Grande chapter. A member of First Presbyterian Church, she helped co-found the Senior Adult Fellowship Group.
She was a loving wife and mother who maintained many long-term friendships. She and Martin enjoyed traveling and entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Howard of Lincoln, Neb., and Frederick M. Jr. of Boulder, Colo.; two daughters, Beverly Henson of Chelsea, Okla., and Cathie Nye of Olympia, Wash.; two sisters, Donna Clements and Betty Schlaphoff of Casa Grande and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and Martin, her husband of 61 years who died in 2001.
