The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 25, 2003 Jane A. Johnston, 76 of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on January 23, 2003. Born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, she moved to Arizona from Des Moines, in 1973. Jane was a social worker and probation officer for the Juvenile court system. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Brenda Johnston; son, Bob Johnston; sisters, Liz Finnegan and Mary Sully; brothers; Charles Spies, Jr., John Spies and Tom Spies and granddaughter, Heather Johnston. Her son, Bruce; sisters, Ann Minell and Isabel Hart and brother, Bob Spies preceded her in death. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 from 5-7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 Rosary Service at Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, Az. Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, Az. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
