JoAnn Sanchez Coronado, 64, of Phoenix AZ, Our beloved mother, grandmother passed away January 3, 2002, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 6, 1937 in Winslow, Arizona.
Lovingly known as 'Grandma JoAnn', she is survived by her loving husband, Pedro C. Coronado and their sons, Pete, Fernando and Ruben daughters, Lorraine Alferez and Susan C. Bejarano 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren -
All who were blessed by her acquaintance, loved her and will miss her happy loving spirit very much. She was always at her best with a roll of quarters in her hand and headed towards Las Vegas to meet her siblings.
Her siblings included brother Jerry Sanchez and sisters Maria Villaescusa, Amy Ulloa, Diane Johnson, Helen Davis and preceded in death by Rose Montoya.
She worked for a number of years (1960-1971) with Valley National Bank of Arizona and most recently held accounting positions with Wells Fargo Bank. She enjoyed the company of her husband, children, siblings and grandchildren. She was a compassionate soul who found her greatest pleasures in helping others. We will miss her sweet smile and her caring eyes we will miss her sense of humor and her gentle touch. JoAnn's goodness and guiding light will always be with us. She now has eternal peace and happiness in God's Kingdom.
The family wishes to extend a sincere heartfelt appreciation for the love and support that Hospice of the Valley provided during our mother's final days.
