Deborah M. Fitzgerald, 51, died with her family at her side on June 25, 2002 after complications from cancer. Born April 7, 1951 in Riverside, IL Deborah was preceded in death by her loving parents William and Anna May Anderson.
She moved to Phoenix in 1975 where she married. She then moved to the New York City suburbs to begin a successful career in the telecommunications industry that spanned more than 20 years with the then New York Telephone Company. In 1981 Deborah moved back to Arizona and settled in the Scottsdale/ Paradise Valley area. The past 21 years in Arizona were spent raising and caring for her family, while building outstanding personal and business relationships. Her countless hikes to the top of Camelback Mountain via Echo Canyon were one of her great joys.
Deborah is survived by her children, Lauren, 20, and Kevin, 18; her granddaughter Erin Elizabeth; her beautiful and loving sisters, Penelope, Cynthia and Sherry; her brother, William; and her husband, Kevin J. Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Rd, Scottsdale on Tuesday, July 2, 2002. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Andre House, 1002 W. Polk St., Phoenix, AZ 85007.
