FOULKE, Edna Louis

Edna Louis Warren Foulke was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John H. Warren of Southport, Connecticut. She married Frank Harold Foulke Jr. on June 23, 1945 (she passed away on her 57th wedding anniversary). During their working years they made their home in Devon, Connecticut. Harold was a printer and Edna a Bell Telephone Operator. During their time in Connecticut they tried to adopt children through the Foster Program. At one time they cared for two beautiful little girls. When the adoptions did not take place they were left with a tremendous void in their lives. Upon retirement they sold their home in Connecticut and moved to their retirement home in Sun City, Arizona. Edna and Harold spent many wonderful years in the warm Arizona sun. They also enjoyed the many places they were able to travel together. Harold preceded Edna in death in May of 1991. Edna is survived by two nephews: Richard Fredericks (Darlene) of Layton, Utah and Robert Fredericks (Anna Lou) of Omaha, Nebraska. The Fredericks families wish to thank everyone that has provided wonderful care to Edna during her last few years on earth. Published in the Arizona Republic June 30, 2002.
