The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 21, 2003 Richard R. Dowell, 50, passed away February 19, 2003 in Mesa, AZ. He was born September 29, 1952 in Quebec, Canada. He was a patient attendant at St. Joseph's Hospital and worked closely with the neurological dept. He had recently graduated from Alpha Business school and received certificates for his work with computers. He was married March 11, 2000 on a sailboat in San Diego to Anna Hilfinger. He is survived by his wife, Anna Hilfinger-Dowell, ex-wife Suzanne and their children Ryan, Daniel and Tara Dowell, parents, Denny and Marilyn Dowell and Shirley Hilfinger, his sponsor, Mark Hilfinger, brothers; Greg (Bonnie), Dave (Fran), Kevin (Annette), sister, Maurine (Mark) Conrad and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 1:00PM at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Phoenix, AZ. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Mercy Care. He will be greatly missed.
