HAMMON, Howard K.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 21, 2003 Howard K. Hammon, 89, died Feb. 18, 2003 in Mesa, AZ. Born in Utica, N.Y., he graduated from Westmoreland High School in 1932. Honorary member of the Stanwix Heights Volunteer Fire Dept. Retired from Local 128 of the Carpenter's Union and moved to Chandler, AZ in 1973. Preceded in death by wife Alice Davis Jan. 8, 1968. Survived by Florence W. Hammon, whom he married Aug. 23, 1969; stepson Richard Hammon of East Tawas, MI; stepdaughter Sharon Ingersoll of Chandler, AZ; sister Dorothy Kessler of Oriskany, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services Sunday, Feb 23 at 2:00 PM at the home of grand-daughter Marie 0lgin. Contributions to VistaCare Hospice, 4222 E. Thomas Rd., Ste. 220, Phoenix, AZ, 85018, are preferred.
