The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 21, 2003 Elizabeth (Betty) J. Welch, 79, passed peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2003, surrounded by her family. Betty was born November 3, 1923, in Griffith, Indiana. She married her childhood sweetheart, John (Jack) Welch on June 3, 1942. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2002. Betty is survived by her husband, Jack, & their 7 daughters; Marsha Marchese, Karen Belcher, Janine Janssen, Pamela Pedigo, Debbie Gudenkauf, Susan Johnson & Jodie Kaylor, 7 sons-in-law, 16 grandchildren & 17 great-grand-children. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 Palmeras Lane, Sun City, Arizona, on Betty's family wishes to thank Hospice of Arizona for their loving care & support during this process and would like to suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to: Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W.
