WOODRING, Anna Lee


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 21, 2003 Anna Lee Woodring, age 63, passed away February 18, 2003, in Phoenix, Arizona. Anna Lee was born in Clearfield, PA on November 9, 1939, to Leslie & Helena Woodring. She was an R.N. and had a Master's Degree. Anna served in the U. S. Army for 16 years, serving in Vietnam and obtaining the rank of Major. In the late 70's she moved to the White Mountains to be closer to her parents. When Anna's father passed away in 1980, she devoted the rest of her life to caring for her mother. Anna was a loving caregiver in both her professional and personal life. She always had a comforting smile and a sincere willingness to help those in need. She touched many people with her generosity and kindness. Anna will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Anna is survived by her 85 year old mother, Helena Woodring; two brothers, Roland (Cindy) and Greg Woodring, two nephews, three nieces, 4 great nephews, and 4 great nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, a nephew and a great niece. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM Friday Feb. 21st at Owens Mortuary in Show Low and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, Feb. 22nd at Owens Mortuary in Show Low with burial in the Lakeside Cemetery. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
