PIERCE, Octavia

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 26, 2003 Octavia Pierce, 76, passed away Tuesday, January 21, in Phoenix, Az. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pierce, (husband, Mike Schrader) of Paradise Valley, Az., son, John E. Pierce II, (wife, Nancy) of Milwaukie, Ore., five Grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell and Margaret Schrader of Phoenix and Nicholas and John Pierce III, both of Milwaukie, Ore. Her greatest joy was raising her family. Memorial Services were held Friday, January 24, 2003 at the Orangewood/The Terraces at Squaw Peak Chapel in Phoenix, Az. The family suggests contributions be made to either the National Foundation on Parkinson's, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave., Bob Hope Rd., Miami, Fla., 33136 or Alzheimer's Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 789 Sherman St., Suite 500, Denver, Colorado, 80203.
