SCHMID, Ford William (Bill)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 26, 2003 Ford William (Bill) Schmid, 92, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home January 25, 2003. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, April 8, 1910. He was preceded by his wife, Frances and grandson, William Scott. He is survived by his wife, Marge; daughter, Michelle Scott, Phoenix; two step-daughters, Ginny Leming, Chandler, Az. and Peggy Hickey, Calif.; grandchildren, Erik Leming, Chandler, Az. and Margo Leming, Tucson, Az. After working for 20 years, he retired from Motorola in April 1975, and he was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28th, 2003, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Rd., Phoenix, Az. Arrangements by Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
