Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 30, 1956, p. 6 Yuma Man's Death Is Ninth Traffic Fatality 0f Area Albert O. Tilford, 58, of Yuma died in Community Hospital last Saturday from injuries received in an accident on Highway 71 about 8 miles east of Aguila that afternoon. He was brought to the hospital at 3:05 p.m. and died 10 minutes later. Mr. Tilford was a Southern Pacific engineer. Highway Patrolman Dick Shafer said Mr. Tilford, driving a pickup truck, ran off the highway for 100 feet, skidded back across the roadway, rolled over and bounced. He said Mr. Tilford was thrown out of the car for a distance of 43 feet. The body was removed to Yuma for services and burial.
