BAIN, Virgil Thomas

The Yuma Sun, Yuma, Arizona Tuesday, January 28, 2003 Virgil Thomas Bain, (Doc Tom), passed away on January 18, 2003 at YRMC. He was a resident of Wellton, Az. Tom was born July 25, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Marshall and Mary Bain. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Medical Corpsman during the Vietnam War. He last worked as a Physician Assistant at the Wellton Clinic for seven years, where he was highly respected and made many friends throughout Yuma and the east Valley. He was a member of VFW Post 6790 in Wellton and Yuma Elks Lodge 476. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall and a brother, Larry Bain. He is survived by his mother, Mary Bain of Blue Springs, Missouri, and three sisters, Peggy Perriman of St. Joseph, Mo., Linda Woods and Cynthia Marshall of Independence, Mo.
