FLEMING, Coleen Marie

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 23, 2003 Colleen Marie Fleming, 46, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2003 in Mesa. She was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 28, 1956. Her Father "Peter" and Mother "Meryll" preceded her death 20 years ago. Colleen is survived by her Mother's sister, Aunt Martha Braggs and many other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Also survived by her Father's sister, Aunt Judy Feeney, and many other Aunts, Uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her three beautiful children that she thought and cared for as if they were her own, Candace, Tony and Joseph Greco. She enjoyed her life and never let anything get her down or stop her from doing what she knew in her heart she could do! You see she was an Actress, Model, Award winning Surfer, and Artist. She believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, knowing that he called her home to be with the Lord, gives me great peace! She became ill with valley fever and cocci meningitis. This illness left her a paraplegic, but that did not stop her from winning The Los Angeles Marathon XVII over three times. She was also involved in fund raisers for the Handicap. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She was one Great Woman to many people! She was loving, caring and selfless in her giving! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but will always remain in the heart of all that knew her. Many thanks to The Belfour Home for all the tender loving care all of you gave her. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Heritage Evangelical Lutheran Church in C/O Joann Davidson. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2003 at Heritage Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gilbert, AZ, 14001 East Ray Road, Gilbert, AZ 85296, (480) 855-3619.
