Clayton "Clay" Beaton, 87, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on February 22, 2003 in Sun City, AZ.
Born in Dunn Center, ND, the oldest of eight children, he moved to AZ in 1981 from California where he was an Accountant. His life in California was devoted loyally as an officer in the American Legion, VFW and Salvation Army. He was a WW II, U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of the C.C.C. and the Lutheran Church in Dunn Center, ND.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Lee Beaton; stepsons, Randy, Ron and Howard Wilson, Jr.; sisters, Arlyce Lorraine Bogers, Gayle Melva Doherty, Betty Marie Sorlie (Donald) and sister in law, Ella Bogers Beaton; 5 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ardis Holkestad in 1994, brothers, Donald Raymond, Stanley Olaf and John Robert Beaton and sister Adele Vivian Beaton. Memorials to Alzheimer's Foundation, Diabetes Foundation, Heart Association or the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26th with the service at 3:00 PM at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd.
