RULEY, Clyde Winston


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 23, 2003 Clyde Winston Ruley, 81, of Phoenix, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2003, surrounded by his immediate family. He was born to Robert & Anna Ruley on January 6, 1922 in Pensacola, Florida. He was educated in Panama and attended the Naval Academy in Washington, DC and proudly served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia of 41 years and brother Robert. They made their home in Eagle Rock, CA where Clyde worked and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad. He is survived by sister Norma Mount and brother-in-law Frank Georskey. Daughters, Bonnie Blair and Kim Moser. Nephews, James Ruley, Chuck Georskey & Rick Mount. Nieces, Maria Brown & Dr. Susan Hunter. Clyde provided support, compassion and un-conditional love, he was a kind, gentle giant who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved to spend time with people, just ask his bestest friend "June" and the gang at Basha's. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix 85014. Clyde will be sent home to be reunited with his wife at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
