The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, March 1, 2003 Helen J. Haritos, 81, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away February 27, - 2003. She was born on March 25, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to Paul and Stella Pappas. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, very active in the Greek Orthodox Community, and a member of the Philoptohos Society. Her husband, Arthur and sister, Mary Pappas, preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons; Paul D. Kanton, Paso Robles, Ca., Peter G. Kanton, Cave Creek, Az., sister; Bessie Georgouses; grandchildren, Heather Alspach, Chris Kanton, Ashley Kanton, Rob Yeary, niece; Connie Nikolaou, and nephew; George Pappas. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Az., 85014.
