The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, March 1, 2003 Deacon George Snyder, 63, of Tempe, Arizona, died Tuesday February 25, 2003. He is survived by his wife LaVerne; children, George Rollen (fiancee Lisa Skolnik), Robert Newton (Kathi), Therese Clare Lopez (Eddie) and Anna Louise Swanson (Scott); grandchildren, Eddie Lopez and Will and Emily Swanson; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins in Ohio. George spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1977. Most recently he was active in the Native American Ministry and Church of the Holy Spirit in Tempe, Az. A wake will be held on Sunday, March 2nd from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Church of the Holy Spirit, 1800 E. Libra, Tempe, Az., with funeral services being held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3rd, 2003, also at Holy Spirit.
