James Robert Sprague Sr., 69, of Chandler, Arizona, died at home suddenly on February 24, 2003.
He is survived by sons, D. Michael Sprague (daughter-in-law, Marguerite) of Palenville, N.Y. and James R. Sprague, Jr. of Elmira, N.Y.; daughter, Kelly Reed (son-in-law, Todd Reed); and grandchildren, Travis Nybeck, Tara Reed and Emily Sprague.
He is predeceased by his former wife, Glenda Sprague Parker, and daughter, Kim Nybeck.
Mr. Sprague was born in Warren, Ohio, and graduated from Kent State University. He and his family later moved to Horseheads, N.Y., where he was employed by Corning Glass Works for many years. He was an avid softball player and golfer. He moved west and lived in Hawaii and then settled in Arizona where he was employed by Circle K Corp.
Mr. Sprague is also survived by many good friends in both Horseheads, N.Y. and Arizona.
A visitation is scheduled for 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, with a Memorial Service following at 7:00 p.m. at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr, Mesa, Az.
Interment will be held in the Spring in Horseheads, N.Y.
