WEBBER, Melvin James

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, March 1, 2003 Melvin James Webber, age 67, of Glendale, Arizona, went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2003. He was born on April 8, 1935 in Ottawa, Ill. to James C. and Louise. Before his retirement in 1993 he was employed as a Mechanic for Northern Illinois Gas Co. for 36 yrs. He was a member, Deacon and Youth Leader with the First Baptist Church in Ottawa, Ill. and a Member and Deacon at Galilee Baptist Church, Glendale, Az. Mel is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon whom he married on July 15, 1956 in Ottawa, Ill.; loving father of Julie (Randall) Hallock, Nancy and James; daughter-in-law, Elaine; grandfather of Mike, Katy, Heather and Trent and brother Clifford C. Webber. He is preceded in death by his lLoving son David. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, Az. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2003 at Galilee Baptist Church, 15810 W. Tierra Buena, Glendale, Az.
