Marguerite V. Wood passed away on February 25, 2003, at Phoenix Baptist Memorial Hospital. Marguerite was born on December 26, 1910, in Caldwell, Kansas.
She received a B.S. degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, where she graduated with honors. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi, She taught home economics and science in the Ottawa, Kansas high school, and nursery school during the summers at the Stephen A. Austin College in Nachadoches, Texas.
She married Harold G. Wood on July 2, 1939. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon, and a teacher for the church's nursery school. She was an extremely loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.
She leaves behind two daughters, Marilyn Pyle, Independence, Mo., Martha Wood, husband, Andy Johnson, Winnetka, Ill., and her son, James Wood, Phoenix, Az., seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was loved by all and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., First Presbyterian Church, 402 West Monroe, Phoenix, Arizona. Reception to follow at the church.
