RUCKELHAUSEN, Charles

Arizona State Miner (Wickenburg) Saturday, March 6, 1926, p 1 c 6 "Dutch Charley" Miller or Rugglehause, who lived up the river 8 miles above town is supposed to have committed suicide Wednesday. The old man had a dog of which he was very fond. He killed it and set fire to his shack before killing himself. An inquest into the cause of death substantiates the suicide theory. The body was found in the ashes of the burned cabin under the iron roof. A wire tied to the trigger of a shotgun showed it had been arranged to pull off with the foot, a loop in the wire showing the impress of the boot, which was still on the foot. The top of his head was blown off and the upper part of the body badly burned. Rugglehause was living in the shack on a homestead owned by Willie White and Jack Bolitho, both of Monte Cristo. The old man placered near the ranch and was given permission by the owners to live on the place. He was 60 years of age.
