Geo H. Markell, vice president and general manager of the Hercules Powder company, died at John Hopkins hospital here today. He was 41 years old. 

Mr. Markell entered the hospital from his home in Holyoke, near Wilmington, Del., three months ago to undergo treatment for a heart ailment. Recently he contracted pneumonia.
