Henry Louis Knowles, Faculty Emeritus of Glendale Community College, 70, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away peacefully Feb. 26, 2003.
He is survived by his two sons, Tony of Glendale, Az., Matt of Tempe, Az. and granddaughter, Riley. Hank was born in Vincennes, Indiana.
After meeting his wife, Ruth, at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, he and Ruth moved to Phoenix in 1961. Hank dedicated his life to enriching his students' lives as an educator at a number of the valley's educational institutions: Carl Hayden HS, Mesa Community College and Glendale Community College where he served 32 years.
Hank impacted thousands of young minds with his charismatic tutelage. Whether he was teaching, inventing or songwriting, Hank's goal was
always the same-enjoy life.
He was a loving father and husband to his family. He is missed.

Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Phoenix.
A celebration of Hank's life will be announced at a later date.
