SHAFFER, Theodore E. (Ted)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, March 2, 2003 Theodore (Ted) E. Shaffer, 73, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Feb. 28. 2003. Ted was born in Cleveland, OH on Dec. 23, 1929. He moved to Phoenix in 1959, and loved Arizona. He was active in his Temple and in the community. He was generous, friendly and warm to his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Ted is survived by his wife of 52 years, Caroline; children Elyse Lerner (Stan), Bill (Julie) and Jon (Pam); five grandchildren; brother Jack (Charlene); sister-in-law Alice Kelman and loving nephews and nieces. Services at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, 4538 N. 16th Street at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 3rd, 2003. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
