SWATZELL, Wilton A.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, March 3, 2003 Wilton A. Swatzell passed away to be with the Lord on March 1, 2003. He was born December 7, 1921 in Kentucky. He served in the Infantry during WWII. He was an ordained deacon in the Scottsdale Baptist Church. Wilton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rebecca, two sons , Bob and Jim Swatzell; daughter-in-law, Terry; grandchildren Penny Miller, Lori Garlant, Patty Marshall, Steve Swatzell, Beki Stone; 14 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Linda Conway. He is preceded in death by brothers; Cecil, Robert, J.E., Usher and by his parents, Emitt and Lola Swatzell. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2003, from 5-8 pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at 1 pm at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
