GRUNZINGER, Jack

Jack Grunzinger of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Memorial Day, May 30, 2003 but his love and spirit will remain with us always. Jack was born February 12th, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Wilma and Albert Grunzinger. He is now lovingly reunited with them and his brothers Paul, Rich and Dave. Jack's sister Sue and brother Tom still live in St. Louis with their families. Jack proudly served his country in the Air Force, the mere sight of Old Glory would bring tears to his eyes. It was fitting for him to leave this world on Memorial Day. Jack always said he was blessed with his three step-daughters Jeanie, Theresa, and Nancy Ann, and his grandsons Kurt, Eddie, Mosha, and "his boy" Paul. In September of 1999, after many years and 1,500 miles Nancy Beckman made "the phone call". Since Jack had always been a little in love with Nancy he recognized her voice even after 30 years. They were very happily married Dec. 6th, 1999 in San Francisco with best friends Bill and Ingrid by their side. Theirs was the best and most romantic marriage of two centuries. They renewed their vows in Tower Grove Park in St. Louis before family and friends, Aug. 29th, 2000. Jack loved Nancy's 3 boys, Richard, Christian, and Dan as his own. Dan's son Spencer Allen lit up Grandpa Jack's life and brought him new strength. Jack's family became Nancy's and Nancy's became Jack's. Jack loved God and lived his love every day of his life. A kinder more helpful man would be hard to find. He blessed everyone's life. His friends at America West were as family to Nancy and Jack, their ongoing love, help and support brought comfort. Jack loved and was loved by all, he will be sorely missed. Memorial services will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wellness Community 602-712-1006.
