TOPE, Gerald Ryan

Gerald Ryan Tope, April 2, 1911, to June 18, 2002. Gerald, or Jerry, as he was known, was born and raised in Ohio, where he married and fathered four children. He moved his family to Phoenix in 1944 and spent most of the following years raising his family and being involved in his church, his profession and charitable organizations. He was one of the founders of the Maricopa County Insurance Agents Association and was their fourth president. He served as president of the Kiwani's club at the Beatitude's and served his fellow man in so many wonderful ways. His wife, Florence, preceded him in death fifteen years ago. His wife, Virginia Tope, daughters, Marilyn Corbisez, Geraldine Bonheimer and sons, Thomas and James survive him along with 12 Grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child. Memorial services held Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at the Beatitudes Campus of Care, in its chapel at 1610 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021.
