Dorothy Marie Smith - A celebration of Dorothy Marie Smith's life will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at her home located at 11325 Road 29 in Cortez, CO. Dorothy was born on Aug. 10, 1925 in Detroit, MI to Walter and Helen (Wachowiak) Filipowicz. She passed away on Sunday, March 2 in Cortez at the age of 77. 

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Andrea Smith Lewis of Boulder, CO, Rani (Michael) Smith Williams of Dolores, CO, and Danica Smith of Arvada, CO. She leaves her grandson, Griffin Williams; and her sister, Elizabeth Stern of Traverse City, MI. 

Preceding Dorothy in death are her parents; and her husband, Harold Q. Smith. 

Arrangements are being handled through the Ertel Funeral Home.
